Hello
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I have been honored and privileged to serve the people of the 22nd Assembly District this past session. You sent me to Madison to fight for the health of our communities – and I did just that.
The health of jobs and the economy is at the top of the list for many of you. I worked with my colleagues to approve a number of proposals designed to get our state and local economy back on track. Examples include more that $200 million in job-creation incentives, expanded lending for entrepreneurs and a capital gains tax break of up to $10 million for investors who invest their capital gains in Wisconsin start-up businesses.
I personally introduced numerous bills this session, and eight have been signed into law. One I am particularly proud of the Wisconsin Parity Act, which requires group health plans in the state to provide mental health and substance abuse coverage on par with other medical procedures. Another is the Right to Breastfeed Act. While breastfeeding is known to improve the health of children and mothers, women in our state did not have that basic right.
There is still much work to be done to improve jobs, education, healthcare and the environment in Wisconsin. Send me back to Madison, and I pledge to continue to fight for the issues that are important to both of us.
Representative Sandy Pasch
22nd Assembly District
